Search Engine Optimisation in the Construction Industry

The Background

Our client provides platforms to simplify the specification process of construction in order to dramatically improve connectivity and efficiency within the industry. Thousands of companies rely on their intelligence software to improve the organisational workflow throughout their various phases of construction. Construction companies trust our client to inform their construction processes, from the design process to facility management. Their multi-faceted database is built on the foundations of individual construction companies and the prices that they offer for their services. Our client offers a huge mass of potential suppliers to construction companies.

The Problem

Our client was in a position whereby they could only provide a limited filtering service with a few stand-alone companies in their database. However, as the marketspace diversified and became saturated with competition, expansion became a competitive need instead of a competitive advantage. Our client explored the means of market research through active searching by their employees but this process was reported as both time-consuming and cost inefficient.

The client was therefore absorbed in an issue with no alleviation path. Their team worked hard to collate a mass of prices and services day to day but their growth rate was not improving and as the workers diverted their attention from development focused tasks to information collection, there were huge inefficiencies in cost and time management.

Our Solution

Our solution consisted of a determination phase, a design phase and a deployment phase. We acted rapidly and our Digital Agents managed to excel the company into the scalability that they desired with a solution within 12 weeks of initial contact. Within these 12 weeks, our Digital Agents had collated documentation and data sources from more than 500 new companies also making improvements in data collection speeds of around 300%.

Our Digital Agents were configured to scrape, harmonise and analyse data in a range of formats from structured and unstructured data sources automatically to maximise efficiency and free-up the human workforce to work on other factors of business. They gained access to thousands of notoriously difficult-to-locate sources of information to provide a cohesive viewing of the supplying companies pricing strategy. Our Digital Agents then combined with our client’s powerful team to upload and monitor suppliers’ prices in our client’s database, providing the ultimate deployment of the Hybrid Workforce.

The Outcome

To summarise, our client now holds the ability to cross-check hundreds of companies to provide an accurate series of recommendations to their customer base. Their ability to scale as a company has been massively increased and now a more cohesive and rounded platform for their consumers puts them at the forefront of the market.

In summary, through the deployment of a range of DDC AS’s Digital Agents, our client was not only able to extend the capabilities of their service, but they were also able to access pricing information and background information that was not known to exist previously. The scraping capability of the configured Digital Agents were vast and industry-leading and allowed our client to implement the Hybrid Workforce into their business solution pathway.
